Abstract. Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools have changed how information is searched and have emerged as a powerful tool for generating content and performing intellectual tasks in recent years. This article presents opportunities for applying generative AI tools in education, explores potential problems in their use and presents solutions for overcoming them. A key focus is the need to develop policies and strategies for the effective use of AI in higher education as a factor for promoting innovation in education, as well as methodologies and tools for automated assessment of the quality of AI-generated learning content.
