Absract. The new needs of children require flexibility in teaching, as well as in the entire educational process, which should be distinguished from the traditional methodology and conservative models of learning. An important point is the
natural attraction of children‘s attention, in order to form permanent skills, part of
the competences fixed in the EQF, necessary for the professions of the future. The
present development presents a theoretical-applied study of the STEM approach
and the introduction of the workshop as a STEM form and technology for teaching
Mathematics in a preparatory group of kindergarten, as well as the benefit of the
interdisciplinary approach and its forms of application.
