Abstract. Artificial intelligence is turning into a powerful tool transforming different fields including that of education. In the actual context of the dynamically developing technologies, the use of IT in the teaching process discovers novel techniques for teaching and learning, thus, easing the teachers and students. The article makes a suggestion for the integration of IT in the hours of computer modelling and IT (CMIT) in lower secondary school stage combining the method of observation, experiment and demonstration. A methodical approach, where with the help of Gemini, a condition for a task was generated to solidify the knowledge, associated with the program language Python and with a suggestion for the task solution. Comments were made on the possibilities for errors during the execution of the code in the online platform Trinket with a given language version as well as on the benefit from the application of the technique ”learning from an error” as a tool for stimulating the critical thinking of students, based on the acquired skills in programming.
