Absract. This article focuses on the problems faced by modern pedagogical specialists in kindergartens during various situational units aimed at developing algorithmic thinking in preschool children. The paper presents the results of a conducted survey, outlines the actual problems that arise during work, discusses the trends of development of modern education in relation to the subject under consideration. For the purpose of the present analysis, an overview of educational
products used by kindergartens is also given. The article is motivated by the fact that
although at present in the majority of kindergartens in our country training for the
development of algorithmic thinking has been introduced, the lack of sufficiently
shared experience, the deficit of appropriate methodological resources and a series
of financial and social problems thwart the qualitative deployment and development
of this type of work with children.
