Project “Student Internships – Phase 2” – An Attempt to Improve the Quality of Higher Education by Providing Opportunities to Gain Practical Experience

Abstract. The present study aims to investigate the attitudes and attitudes of Shumen University students participating in the Student Internships – Phase 2 project (2020 – 2023). The idea of the authors is to evaluate to what extent the additional practice is an opportunity to increase the competencies and skills of the students in a real working environment according to the specifics of the field of higher education, the professional training of the students, which in turn would improve the quality of higher education. The results of the questionnaire analysis show/prove that the “Student Practice” project is an attempt to improve the quality of higher education by providing opportunities to gain practical experience.
