Abstract. The article presents the results of a study of the Bulgarian basic vocabulary of students in primary and preschool education. The observation of the acquisition of basic verbal vocabulary of children, planned in the previous stage of the work, was carried out on the results of online language tasks performed in two stages in 2022 and 2023. The percentage results of the respondents’ selection of concrete verbs during the experiment are presented in the form of an appendix to the article. The analysis and conclusions on the performance of the task types show the degree of understanding of the meaning of selected groups of verbs and the students’ skills for combining verbs with groups of arguments.
