Abstract. The article suggests an attempt to comment the book “Letters by Ivan Vazov” through three conceptual lines which are revealed in the personalistic approach of the compiler Prof. Nikolay Chernokozhev: the social and cultural atmosphere, the issues of works of art, personal experience. Thus, through the role and meaning of the letter as a genre, the poet’s social roles and inner world are
analyzed.
