Abstract. In the article the methods of Item Response Theory were used for analyzing the measuring qualities of the test tasks with a selectable answer from the National External Evaluation for the Grade 7 conducted in 2021 in the Sofiacity and Pleven districts. After agreement with the empirical data, the choice of the two-parameter model was justified using this methodology. A comparison was made between the obtained data and those from the Classical Test Theory.
