Absract. The article examines students’ key skills necessary for an independent development of a pedagogical situation in Bulgarian in the kindergarten. It is indicated that the successful execution of this task largely depends on the ability of the students to get familiar with the content of the educational documentation, to properly prepare informational materials related to the educational work and to communicate with the parents. The combination of knowledge, skills and attitudes that fall within the framework of the competence approach, engaging the students with an active role in the educational process, is analysed.
