Abstract. The purpose of this article is to present briefly some trends in the subjects “Physical Education and Sportˮ in the higher schools in Bulgaria, as well as results of a survey among students from Sofia University “St. Kl. Ohridskiˮ. Emphasis is placed on the inclusion of the gym in the types of sports offered to students and the current state of the fitness training system in the higher school.
