Absract. This work highlights the importance of resilience as a current and multifaceted problem that reflects on the lives of adults and children. The aim of the study is not only to reveal the essence and meaning of resilience, but also the influence of resilient factors in dealing with difficult situations. Different aspects of the resilience are considered. Preconditions for the development of resilience are created in pre-school age. In the context of resilience development, two types of resourses are emphasized: personal and social. The article focuses on the protective,
resilience factors and on the role of the family and the social environment in perfecting the childrenʹs resilience-skills. In this context communication and collaboration between the family and teachers in the educational institutions is very valuable. Adults create conditions for the development of resilience skills in children that help the overcome challenges in life.
