Absract. This report is a detailed analysis of the adequacy of curriculum and extracurricular activities in the fight against substance abuse. The opinion of students
in the junior high and high school stages of education and the teachers teaching in
both stages was studied. The aim of the research is to specify to what extent the
curriculum, extracurricular activities and activities in the classroom are adequate
for the prevention of addictions to psychoactive substances. The survey was
conducted using a form provided to the principals of two schools. The respondents
are in two groups – the first group of students from junior high school and high
school stage of education and the second group - teachers who teach the respective
students. The study was conducted in the period 14.04.2022 – 05.06.2022 among
students and pedagogical specialists from Hristo Smirnenski Primary School and
Sofia University “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” both with headquarters in the town
of Radomir.
